Regga

Regga is the first character I started in Vanilla Angband after many years of not playing. Amazingly she is doing pretty good up to now.

Alas, I do not have any source of nether resist still.

19-Apr

I met Maeglin for the first time and he sure is very, very nasty. I tried to teleport him away but he kept coming at me and summoning all kinds of stuff. I barely managed to leave the level alive.

I found 2 new artifacts, Evenstar and the Cap of Thranduil. Gonna try using them to see if telepathy helps. Alas, that leaves me without a reliant source of see invis (just in Sting, which I switch out for tunneling) and I changed my light source to The Star of Elendil. That leaves me without a means to light a room however, so I picked up the old Beginners Handbook again.

Found an armor of Elvenkind with Nether resist and decided to dive a bit.

Down to 2500' I found a terrible artifact:

The Iron Crown of Beruthiel [0,+20] (-5) {cursed}

It decreases your strength, dexterity, and constitution by 5. It grants you immunity to paralysis, the power of telepathy, and the ability to see invisible things, but it also is heavily cursed. It cannot be harmed by the elements.

which I dropped on the floor.

Met Saruman at 2750' and he disenchanted my stuff. Was the toughest fight I had so far, he summoned real nasty undead and there were other uniques on the level as well. He dropped Thalkettoth and a not very good sword I sold.

20-Apr

Found The Scimitar Haradekket and The Amulet of Carlammas in a Twisted Cube vault at 2800'. Teleported away some uniques to get at the stuff. Maybe I should backtrack some and kill uniques? Seems like I have left out several.
